Kim K’s 5 Day Hair Routine

Kim Kardashian is well known for being a dirty girl, so it is no shock her hair isn’t squeaky clean either.

Kim K – “I don’t wash it every day. We start out with a blowout on day one, then we go into a messier vibe the next day, and then we flat iron it and do a really sleek look on day three since that requires a little oil in the hair. Day four could be a slicked-back ponytail, and on the fifth day is when you wash it. That’s a little excessive, maybe. [Laughs]”

Day 1 The Blow Dry

Day 2 Beach up the look

Day 3 Grab The GHDs

Day 4 Sleek Ponytail

Day 5 Salon Day

Pure Bristle brushes – Fine to normal hair

Bristle and Nylon Mix brushes – For normal strong hair

All Nylon brushes – For you lady’s with very thick hair (lucky sods)

Remember the longer the hair the bigger the brush.

The magical spell of the Mason

What makes these brush the mac daddy of all the brushes in the land is the bristles – not only detangle those knots (without any discomfort), but they also massage your scalp which is great for blood circulation. The bristles are great for pulling your natural oils from root to tip – that helps to improve condition and adds shine. It can also help the strength of your hair too.

Want healthier hair? YES
Well it’s time to invest in a brush that’s just perfect to for your hair type.

The history of Mason and Pearson

Mason Pearson was an inventor-engineer with an amazing beard who just happened to invent the rubber cushion hair brush. The design for the famous Mason Pearson brush was finalized in 1905, which required that the brush be mostly handmade. They still are to this day.

The product design used nowadays is similar to the original 1885 model with the improvements of the fully developed models of the early 1920s. The basic product has not changed since then.

Welcome to the dark side

want healthy looking hair again!!

Do you remember what your hair looked like when you didn’t have any highlights or colour?. Do you remember how it felt? or maybe you can’t as it’s been years.

After a long hot summer you may have noticed many celebrities have opted for colour change, swapping bright blonde locks for healthier darker looking shades.

Why would we do this? Is this closer to our natural colour? Is this what we are actually meant to be!. Its now time to work with our natural hair shades – let’s forget the times of looking in the mirror and those dark roots ruining our day. As a master of colour for Schwarzkopf it has always been my mission to deliver expensive looking hair that is enhancing and working with your natural hair not totally covering every stand with a bleach or tint.

Feed the hair with loveliness, shininess, soft silky condition and get your hair looking healthy again. Covering your blonde locks doesn’t have to be boring or a shock you can do it as slow or as fast as you feel comfortable. It’s all about having an amazing colour tech who will find the perfect shade and tone to compliment your skin.

Embrace what you was giving naturally not cover up the real you enhance it.

Meat Free Hair Miracle

Since turning veggie or vegan have you noticed a higher rate of hair shedding? More and more of your mermaid locks going down the plug hole.
If so read on.

An increased rate of natural hair shedding can be caused by many things but the most likely are rapid weight loss, thyroid problems, or iron deficiency, zinc deficiency, lack of protein – Now these could be culprits but I would recommend you see a doctor who can diagnose the specific problem.

In some cases, hair loss can be diet-related. One obvious nutritional reasons for hair loss could be A LACK OF IRON

Good iron levels are ESSENTIAL to health of hair. Red meat contains the most iron but this is strictly not part of my diet. I prefer to get as much plant-based iron into my diet as possible. Iron from plants is not as easily absorbed by our bodies. I would advise taking an iron supplement if your levels are low (please consult your doctor/nutritionist). Also Vitamin B12 is going to be your new BFF. B12 is an essential nutrient for hair growth but sadly can’t be found in vegetable. B12 can be found in milk and eggs but if you are vegan soy milks and cereals that are fortified with B12. You can also take B12 supplement

IRON RICH FOODS

Another obvious nutritional reason for hair loss could be A LACK OF PROTEIN

Hair is made of protein and protein is a wonderful magical thing. However
protein is a very busy bunny looking after essential tissues such as your heart, liver and lungs, which your body will always prioritise. Meaning Da da Daaa…… if you lack protein, your hair will be the first thing to suffer.

PROTEIN RICH FOODS

Quinoa
Seitan
Tofu and soy products

Is your hair damaged due to Colour?

There’s so many things we have to think about when colouring our hair!!!
Not just you but do your colour technicians/stylists have your hair best interests at heart?. Remember if you are unsure get a second professional opinion, Most salon offer free consultations – take advantage of this girls.

Time for a change? Time to ask questions? Get involved and let’s fix this problem to get our hair feeling like the Crown Jewels you should be rocking.

• Hair can only take so much and over the years you can find that your hair has become severely over processed!! – Signs of over processed damage, very dry brittle hair, hair breakage/snapping off, Frizzy hair texture (burnt looking), fast colour fade.

• If you have bleach think about changing it for a high lift tint! You may think this wouldn’t be possible but you can still be a blonde without destroying your hair. Most shades of BLONDE CAN be achieved WITHOUT BLEACH.

• Do you use straighteners, tongs, hot tools regularly on your coloured hair? YES! Time to protect – make sure you use a product heat protection.

• How often do you use conditioning treatments?. We recommend our clients use treatments at least once a week.

• Is your colour being overlapped or applied over the top of your colour every time? BAD VERY BAD!!!!

• Are you forever changing colour ?. It might be fun playing around with your hair colour and changing it every couple of months but soon your hair will give up hope and want to leave the party.

• A healthy diet plays a big part in improving the condition of your hair.
